2022 LEGO Retail Marketing Sizzle Reel
In September of 2022, I got the opportunity to put together a show reel of our department work to be shown at a company marketing conference in Billund, Denmark. This side project became a labor of love that spanned a mere two weeks from storyboard to completion using Blender for the main 3D animation sequence and After Effects for post production editing.
Behind the sizzle
I had a vision of starting the sizzle reel with a frying egg element that would transition and dot the '“i” in “sizzle”. Sketching it out first then testing it out in 3D. Turns out I really liked it.
An inside yolk
Prior to the conference a few teammates and I were discussing what we imagine Billund to be like and someone brought up that there were supposed to be a lot of cows there. I tucked in a cow at the end which made for a silly gag as the egg that dotted the “i” falls from the sky and lands on the cow.
